Iraqi Cement State Company one of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals companies has reached a high percentage of implementation in rehabilitation of its plants in Badush Cement Complex in Nineveh province to re-operate these plants after destruction caused by ISIS militants. ‘’ After opening and operating of Hamam Al-Aleel and Al-Hadbaa Cement plants to produce a high quality Cement in Northern Cement Company to provide the local markets, today, the underway rehabilitations was followed up in Badush Cement Complex, which have been started in the beginning of past August. The complex includes Badush plant with a production capacity of (320) tons per day and new Badush plant with a production capacity of (1500) tns per day and Al-Rafidain plant, which includes two production lines with a total production capacity of (600) tons per day’’ Director-General of Iraqi Cement Company Eng. Hussain Mohsin Obeid Al-Khafagy in an exclusive statement to the Media and Public Relations Centre.Al-Khafagy added, that the rehabilitation has started after well-studied plans and with extra and self-help efforts of the employees in the company under guidance of H.E. Minister of Industry and Minerals, and we are looking forward to start operating these plants in the beginning of the next year. The support of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals has contributed to the issue of The Council of Ministers’ resolution No. (509) for the year 2015 which states to stop importing Cement. Which has led to the increase of local demand on National Cement. The company own (16) plants, in addition to (9) plants run by private sector which their production amount to (40) million tons per year while the local market need is (18) million tons per year.
